As a youth development agency. The Club delivers programs dedicated to the health, social, educational, vocational, character development and guidance of youth, 6-18 years of age. The Club is open to all youth, with special emphasis on providing quality services to those members from disadvantaged circumstances. The Highlands County Boys & Girls Clubs is a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, a national organization with over 4300 Clubs, serving over 4.5 million youth. Locations in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and on U.S. military bases around the world. With more than 50,000 trained professional staff members..

Highlands County Boys & Girls Clubs has a line-up of tested, proven and nationally recognized programs that address the most critical issues affecting today’s youth and provide them with the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to pursue their dreams and succeed in life. Our programs are carefully designed to support achievement of the Youth Development Outcomes our Movement has articulated for young people leaving our Clubs at age 18.

This past school year with our after school programs we had over 100 students at each site. Most taking part in our tutoring classes. With the others taking part in our homework help and computer lab. We have also started a web design class along with our many other activities.
