The mission of the Highlands County Boys & Girls Club is to enable
all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their
full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Highlands County Boys & Girls Clubs

As a youth development agency. The Club delivers programs dedicated to the health, social, educational, vocational, character development and guidance of youth, 6-18 years of age. The Club is open to all youth, with special emphasis on providing quality services to those members from disadvantaged circumstances. The Highlands County Boys & Girls Clubs is a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, a national organization with over 4300 Clubs, serving over 4.5 million youth. Locations in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and on U.S. military bases around the world. With more than 50,000 trained professional staff members.

Highlands County Boys & Girls Clubs has a line-up of tested, proven and nationally recognized programs that address the most critical issues affecting today’s youth and provide them with the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to pursue their dreams and succeed in life. Our programs are carefully designed to support achievement of the Youth Development Outcomes our Movement has articulated for young people leaving our Clubs at age 18.

Who We Are

In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them.

Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.

Boys & Girls Clubs are a safe place to learn and grow -- all while having fun. It is truly The Positive Place For Kids.
