Boys & Girls Club



The Computer Lab at our Sebring, done through 21st Century Grant, site enables the kids to learn computer skills while working on education sites. They also play computer games - all done with constant monitoring.

Avon Park will soon have a computer lab Thanks to Donations by CenturyLink.
A.R. (Accelerated Reading) Books stock our Libraries. The kids read on their grade level and earn A.R. points at school. This structured program is designed to encourage good reading habits and study skills as they strengthen academics and comprehension.
Certified teachers provide tutoring services and academic remediation to our members daily during SES Tutoring Program.Our teachers works with 5 students for an hour a day, twice a week.

Smart Moves is our prevention program that helps young people resist alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. say no to premarital sex and taking responsibility for your actions are also stressed.

A Community Garden
at our Sebring site is
producing it's first crop
of Strawberries. This project
under the supervision of a
master gardener will give
back to the community
as kids plant, maintain
and harvest their crops.



"Studio WBGC", Compliments of CenturyLink, provides students with the ability to record songs and practice public speaking while improving their self esteem.

Our kids wrote their own commercial saying "no" to drugs, alcohol and tobacco. These were recorded on their own CD's at the WWOJ radio station.
Triple Play is an organized recreational program that measures body mass index, discusses proper nutrition and the importance of exercise while experiencing teamwork and sportsmanship.
Primal Connection, a 14 week course, uses percussion instruments from around the world to learn the art of working together to make music.
Snacks are provided everyday after school. Breakfast and lunch are provided during the Summer Program.
Every child in Florida needs to know how to swim. That belief begat Swimming Lessons at the Avon Park and Sebring High Schools' swimming pools. They are transported to the schools by our staff.
A multitude of Crafts are offered throughout the year. From dying Easter eggs, making Valentines, and decorating visors, kids are having fun.


Our Newly formed Cub Scout troops are enjoying many adventures of scouting. They have progressed faster than any other troop in the county!
Tumbling Classes are taught by a certified teacher. Safety and proper technique make tumbling fun.
Climbing, Swing and Sliding make childhood fun while exercising muscles and improving large motor coordination.
  
The first hour after school is spent completing homework assignments during Power Hour.
Later, it's time for indoor fun like Pool, Ping Pong, and other games especially when it's raining or too hot out side.
